Fantastic lunch place, So glad we stopped here! The waitress mistakenly delivered the polenta appetizer to us, but when I tried to bring it back they said to keep it for free, their mistake. These were by far the most delicious tidbits, with a perfectly paired sauce. Shared the BLT which came with a nice ceasar salad. Perfect amount of food for 2.
This is by far our favorite place while in Gainesville. Even my 91 year old mother enjoyed their old style burgers. We enjoyed both the freshness of the soup and salad. They also have a great beer selection which was awesome. The service was excellent and top notch. We hope to be back soon! Keep up the great service and fresh products.
Fantastic food and craft cocktails! Stopped in on a Friday night. They were busy, but food and drinks came out quick. I ordered polenta bites and the chicken hoagie. My fiance got their fried green tomatoe sandwich. Everything was fantastic, highly recommend everything. Dill fries were really good, but I think the best thing we are was the polenta. Crispy outside, creamy inside. Very good. We are thinking of stopping again tomorrow night for take out
The Buffalo Chicken hoagie had fresh bread with a crisp crust, plenty of chicken, and really good sauce and dressing. Fresh cut fries were really good too, and came with a choice of dipping sauce. We had five separate orders and they had no problem getting them out correctly to us. The order takers at the bar were quick and efficient.
Food, I loved! I wish there was more to choose from knowing that alot of items are made from scratch
I wanted to skip my usual Zaxby’s Cobb Zalad so I tried Public & General. First thing first it smells so good in the restaurant! I thought they were serving pizza, but they don’t! I ordered their Artichoke Caesar salad & Soup of the Day: Tomato Basil with Grilled cheese! It was so delicious & fresh! Everything blend in just right! I don’t feel full, even though I am; the food is not heavy on your stomach. The waitress was such a doll, I think I asked her like 30 questions and she answered them all. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful, it feels very cozy. I will definitely be back again!

I don’t usually write reviews, you have to blow me away with every aspect to get one outta me. But it’s been days since I ate here and it’s literally all I’ve been thinking about. The dim lighting, comfortable seating and service is 🙌🏼 top tier but the fooooood. The food. 🫦 id consider myself a picky eater but smelled this soup like dish.. tried it and holy crap it was the creamiest and most delicious thing I ever ate. Paired with some toast it was just immaculate. Got a burger thinking there’s no chance it would be as whimsical… I was wrong it was juicy and flavorful. So I had to give this place her flowers because she deserves it. That and every server/cook because I didn’t see not one person unhappy in there either.
I absolutely adore every visit to this restaurant! Great service, excellent bartenders, and super fresh food. The dill fries are my favorite. 10 out of 10 every single time. Been coming here for years! Always a treat.
